..ever since I decided to "clearing the dust" about two weeks ago, I have cycled about 145km to-date...so from K.L, I could be in Temerloh now..hehehe.

So far I've tried to spend between 30 minutes to 1 hour daily on indoor cycling,

..and have reached the 100km mark on Sunday evening :-)

Feeling a bit fitter now days after some exercises..hope I have a strong will to continue..

Clearing the dust..

Came back from the office yesterday with a strong will to start again..dusting the long forgotten exercise bicycle and rode for almost one hour while watching tv..hehe

Burned only about 300 calories..mmm..I read that in order to lose 1lbs I need to burn 3500 cals!..oohhh..another 3200 cals to go..

hehehe..

I have to start somewhere, right?

(but my knees hurt at the moment)

5 tips for exercises - both aerobic and strength training.

Tip #1: Squats:

Every day in front of the mirror, put your feet at shoulder width while facing forward and squat down-and-up 10-20 times for 2 or 3 sets.

(Image : google)

Tip #2: Push-ups:

Do 2 or 3 sets of 20 push-ups to build arm strength and increase your RMR.

Tip #3: Jumping jacks:

Do 4 or 5 sets of 20 jumping jacks, or as needed.

(Image : google)

Tip #4: Fast walking:

Fast walking is even better for burning fat. Once you start your faster walking pace, try to maintain as much speed as possible for as long as you can.

(Image : google)

Tip #5: Stepping:

Stepping is a great way to get your heart beating and to burn calories. Do 2 to 3 sets of 20 steps each to begin.

(Dusting this one as well..hehe)

Most importantly, I need to "Motivate Myself" ~ will try to find an incentive for getting in shape and burning fat.

Good Luck to me!

Unexpected gifts

It had been awhile since I last bought/read humour magazine "Gila-Gila"..but the cover of this month's edition caught my eyes the other day :

I thot it was quite funny the way the girl in purple baju kurung was posing, and what she said..:-)..

(check out that two grinning customers..wanted to join them too..hehe)

This topic arose at the time when it was quite difficult to get supplies of cooking oil,

..but I guess by now the guy is happy that she'd accepted his proposal (with all the gifts, minus the oils..hehehe..)

[ note : I've yet to read the mag.. :-) ]

Talk about gifts, last Monday I was pleasantly surprised when I got a lovely material from a former office mate who has been like an older sister since I first knew her..

She said the soft colour suited me and asked me to make a "Kebaya" dress style out of this material as she'd like to see me in one, but I said I prefer Baju Kurung as it will last longer...[tqvm but sorry ye sis!]

And later on in the evening whilst practising bowling with my friends, each one of us got a rose..

..may not be the real one but nice.. tq. :-)

Lovely gestures..made my day.
(even thou I played bowling badly that evening..hehe..)

A few short hours..

Yesterday I finally had the chance with some friends to spend some time with our former teacher since she undergone an operation.

Didn't want to trouble her so we brought some food with us to her house.

See all these for only seven of us...hehehe..

.

We had pleasant, enjoyable hours reminiscing school days, esp. as she was our warden(luckily she didnt have time to tell us the horror/scary stories, hehe) and also our Geography teacher...that even thou we planned to leave after Zuhr prayer/lunch hour, we ended leaving after 'Asr instead and I reached home about 7pm.

What's few memorable hours for someone who had been there for us for 5 years n more after that...sent her a thank you message upon reaching home and she replied that she had a happy time too and invited us to her house again..

Thank you teacher!

Had a dose of Upin and Ipin TV series this morning before I left for work.

Scooby Doooo.

My all time favourite cartoon...

hihihihihihi..

Over the course of Scooby-Doo's various spin-offs, various relatives of Scooby were introduced:

* Scrappy-Doo: Scooby's young nephew (and son of Scooby's sister Ruby-Doo), Scrappy is the bravest of Scooby's relatives. Scrappy became a recurring character in the Scooby-Doo series beginning in 1979, and was noted for being quite headstrong and always wanting to face off in a fight against the various villains (unlike his uncle). Scooby and Shaggy were present at Scrappy's birth.

* Yabba-Doo: According to Scrappy and Yabba-Doo Yabba is Scooby's brother, a white dog owned by Deputy Dusty in the American southwest. Unlike Scooby, Yabba is brave. Unlike Scooby's and Scrappy's, his typical custom catch-phrase at the end is "Yippity-Yabbity-Doooo!!!" (and not "Yabba-Dabba-Doo!", presumably due to another Hanna-Barbera character's usage of that phrase).

* Scooby-Dum: Scooby's cousin (according to Shaggy in "Headless Horeseman of Hallowen), a blue-grey dog. A Mortimer Snerd-esque dog who longed to be a detective. Was rather dimwitted (he'd keep looking for clues even after the mystery was solved.

* Scooby-Dee: Scooby's distant cousin, a white dog. Spoke with a Southern accent, and was an actress.

* Dooby-Doo: Scooby's cousin, a singer. He is one of Scooby's few relatives to have hair on his head. Only appeared in "The 'Dooby Dooby Doo' Ado".

* Momsy and Dada Doo: Scooby's parents.

* Whoopsy-Doo: Scooby's cousin, a clown. Owned by Shaggy (Norville)'s uncle, Gaggy Rogers.

* Ruby-Doo: Scooby's sister, and mother of Scrappy-Doo.

* Skippy-Doo: Scooby's brother. Highly intelligent; he wears glasses.

* Howdy-Doo: Scooby's brother. Enjoyed reading Supermarket tabloid newspapers. He appears to become a redhead.

* Horton-Doo: Scooby's uncle. Was interested in monsters and science.

* Dixie-Doo: Scooby's cousin and the pet of Betty Lou, Shaggy's Southern cousin.

* Grandpa Scooby: Scooby's grandfather.

* Great-Grandpa Scooby: Scooby's great-grandfather.

* Yankee-Doodle-Doo: Scooby's ancestor. Not much is known about him. He appears to be a pilgrim.

* Dumper Scoots: A confused lion that thinks he is a dog. Having the same speech pattern as Scooby-Doo, he believes he is Scooby's cousin.

I enjoy doing this..hehehe..
