Kinabalu Park (2) - Mount Kinabalu.

"Mount Kinabalu is the most dramatic feature in Sabah and the tallest peak between the Himalayas & the New Guinea. Towering at 4,095 metres (13,435 feet), Mount Kinabalu exerts a magical quality that is both indescribable and unbelievable. The granite peaks are constantly veiled in wisps of clouds"

What we should see was something like this google image:

But although the weather was sunny and nice...., due to the cloud surrounding the peak, all I got were these... :-)

Panoramic view from the deck

It would have been nice to see something like this from the deck :

Some friends said they haven't been to Kinabalu so there's a possibility I could go again ...hehehe

But of course I'm not planning or have the intention (at the moment) to climb all the way to the what my boss has done yearly for the past few years...hahaha...

Eating session (2)...and walkathon

This was a potluck do and we had variety of food contributed by the friends who turned up

I guess I'd over indulged myself especially with the cakes, ice-creams, trifle, apple crumble etc...hehe..

However before the desserts were served, we had the chance to reduce a bit of the "kgs" gained earlier...a Walkathon was organised after the 'Asr prayer.

Odd one out  :-D

However I cheated, had a leisure walk, did some short cuts, took out my compact digital camera and did some photography instead...hehehe...

Peeping at some friends who joined the walkathon...haha

I returned to the house and became the first to "finish" the walkathon, but of course I was disqualified and didn't win the prizes...hahaha...

Had a pleasant time with great friends.

Eating sessions with friends (1)

First it was a "dim sum" on Saturday

Some of us were quite hungry by the time we reached the place., luckily some friends who had reached there earlier had ordered first...,

but I didn't bother with taking photos much....hahaha..

By the second set of order, we had slowed down...hehehe...

Had an enjoyable time with good friends...and were quite full after few hours there, but we still stopped next door for dessert of ice-cream and drinks...hehehe..

Next was the BBQ and steamboat at a friend's house yesterday (Part 1) ;

There were chicken, meat, crabs, baby octopus and prawns (have to say ~ the "XXXL" sized prawns brought all the way from Sabah by a good friend  ;-))),

but again I was too hungry by the time they were grilled (as I didn't have breakfast or lunch) and I just managed to snap away some using my phone's camera :-)

I'd actually eaten too much of the grilled food that I couldn't eat steamboat food for me and definitely missed out on these ..

Will post another set of photos of yesterday's in my next entry....and will continue with my KK trip after that.
