Rubic cube

Last month in Kuala Terengganu :

"Che Na, can you please buy for me that mind game?"

..Faraheen asked one day.

Eh?..what mind game?...mmm..may be she'd developed the liking of doing puzzles like this auntie of hers..hehe..

So off we went to the bookstore and she showed me the "mind game".

"ohhh...its, rubic cube my dear..."

But the one that we found was with cartoon I promised to buy her a different one once back in K.L.

Been getting "gentle" reminders from Faraheen about her "mind game" that finally I managed to buy it, not 1 but 3! ha ha..

So, one the activities during the "raya" break was how to solve it...

and for days I was able to do only a small part of it.

mmm...thought of searching thru the net..

and walla! found the site where it taught me how to solve it..hehehe.. took me 2 days to understand the instructions.. on time too, as mum had started to complain that I'd spent almost every resting hours playing with the cube...ha ha ha...

Coincidently, mum was in front of me when I did the final steps!

(Took this photo and sent text to my sister to tell her daughter Faraheen about my first ever achievement!)

So happy that I could do it.

Faraheen posing with the "finished" project :

and here's Batrisyia with hers...

But of course...,

both were solved by this...

Happy 3rd Birthday!

It was Balqees's birthday on the 11th. September.

(Lovely niece of mine)

and because it fell on the 2nd day of Syawal this year, we didn't do anything as we were still busy with relatives and guests who came over for the Eid celebration.

However, we gave her this a few days earlier.

Today we went out to buy her the cake,

but couldn't agree with any particular flavour

(Which one mum???)

And we ended up with ordering different slices that made into one unique birthday cake!

Nice one... :-)

Balqees's moment

"Du'a" for everyone

We had chicken rice briyani

and "sirap bandung" drink

May you always be blessed by Allah SWT..
menjadi hamba-NYA yang solehah,
berbahagia di dunia dan di akhirat...amiin.

With lots of love from :

Assalamualaikum to my family members and friends...have a joyous month of Syawal..may the blessings of Allah SWT be with you always..and safe journey wherever you go.

EID-UL-FITR is celebrated on the first day of Shaw'waal, at the completion of Ramadan. Shaw'waal is the 10th month of the Islamic calendar. The Eid-al-Fitr is a very joyous day for the believing men and women. On this day Muslims show their real joy for the health, strength and the opportunities of life, which Allah has given to them to fulfill their obligation of fasting and other good deeds during the blessed month of Ramadan.

Allahu-Akbar, Allahu-Akbar. La ila-ha ill-lal-lah. Allahu-Akbar, Allahu-Akbar. Wa-lilahill hamd.

(Allah is great, Allah is great. There is no god but Allah. Allah is great, Allah is great. And all praises are for Allah).

Latest from my kitchen..

Can't wait for bread-maker machine (read here) to find its way to my kitchen (hehe) decided to use my "hand machine" instead.. :-)

When I told Batrisyia, she said she'd love to watch me make it when I go back home and giggled when I said that we'd have to sing "Hot Cross Buns" (here)

Every Ramadan, "Bubur lambuk Terengganu" (a special rice porridge dish of Terengganu state) is a must have, so made it on Sunday :

[Cats, TK ~ for your eyes only :-) ]

and cooked this crab with chilli (ketam berlado..hehe)

Apart from "bubur lambuk", I usually make extra effort cooking dishes that I seldom do in other months

~ Paceri nenas (pineapple in thick curry)

~ masak lemak betik with ikan masin (papaya and salted fish cooked in coconut milk)

and desserts...

~pancake with sweet durian sauce(durian in coconut milk)

~ "cek mek molek" (made from sweet potato)

~ mini murtabak, d idea came from Meen :-)

~ pudding (eaten with evaporated milk and fruit cocktail)

With all the food cooked, I'm so glad that I still managed to lose at least 2kgs after few weeks of fasting when I stepped on d scale yesterday morning...

but someone pointed out that I could easily gain it back by the 2nd day of Eid celebration!

To Isal ~ thank you for this award that you gave for my "Tajweed" blog

Been a while since I joined "Virtual Run" (VR), and with long MCO - Movement Control Order (and no interest from family members..h...
