I'd craved for this for about a week, and being most times dissatisfied with ones that I ate outside, from "pasar malam" to some restaurants, finally went to buy the ingredients after work yesterday.

Serius Cheqna, memang nampak sedap. I kan hantu laksa & yours nampak sebiji mcm kakak Tunjang i buat, kuahnya tak merah sangat, just the way I like it. Cuma Ona kurang sayur hijaunya... Dah 4 tahun lebih tak makan laksa dia!!!
for me i like the laksa with the home made type of mee not those plasticky feeling type,i remember those i see made with the wooden screw press in the kampung long2 time ago.

tqvm..yup, I just had cucumber and onion then, even forgot to buy bird chili..and got "scolded" by my office mate for not asking her to bring some from her home..haha..
I'll make it for you insyaAllah when you come back here...but of course won't be as good as your sister's, you know that I don't always follow exact recipes..hehe..

You are right, the originals/home made ones are much better..during raya puasa we normally ordered that..come over next raya to KT on the second day, at least that was our menu on 2nd day for the past few years..hehe
