The start of our journey...

..to where I had been so looking forward to... But due to work commitments and some weeks in distress and grief, its only now that I feel comfortable to plan on making the serial of postings on this holiday trip, which was great and an enjoyable one..

..and I should start by thanking my dearest friend in Amsterdam (her blog here) and her family for inviting and welcoming us to their home.

Here goes...

By early February, we confirmed our online purchase of the tickets :

From: KLM ROYAL DUTCH AIRLINES
Date: 7 February 2011 22:21
Subject: KLM e-Ticket 21 Apr Kuala Lumpur Amsterdam

So, on the evening of 21st. April 2011, my sister and I made our way to KL International Airport where later we were joined by another friend, Roha who took the flight down from Kedah earlier in the day.

Our beautiful KLIA

Had to re-pack our bags as we overlooked on the only one bag per person policy, irrespective of the weight, or else pay USD100 per extra luggage.

By midnight we were already up there in the air..hehe..

Whenever I was not zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz [sleeping ;-) ], spent the time watching video, reading or doing crosswords.

Half way there...

And where we were at another hour to go..

Finally after more than 12 hours, we safely landed in Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam...Alhamdulillah :-)...

Disembarking very early in the morning, we were happy to see our hosts were already there waiting for us.

To be continued...

:-)
