Gang @ the "sand" of...

Finally I was able to join the gang's trip after missing the last two...and thou it was a short one [and minus few "members" of the gang :-) ] we had a good time.

It all started when most of us said that we had not make any plans for the long weekend of Maulidur Rasul, so Nieza made the queries of the place (that Tiff first suggested) and did the bookings of 3 chalets...whilst the rest of us booked the air tickets.

That was how we ended at "Pasir Belanda" homestay on 26th. to 28th of February 2010.... not the "sand" of Belanda @ Holland (i wish!..hehe), but in Kampung Banggol, Kota Baru (K.B), Kelantan! :-)

...
(After taking these photos, i realised that
it was my first time entering Kelantan by air)

Went to Pantai Cahaya Bulan for lunch on that first day...

When we arrived at K.B's airport, I noticed the Le Tour the Langkawi's cyclists, and only later realised that the first stage of the race was from K.B to Kuala Berang (Trgg)...but before they did, we had our own "le tour" - by renting these yellow bikes.

Only 4 of us did the short(as it was getting dark) tour of the village, the rest stayed in after a different "tour" earlier that day :-)

(this pix courtesy of Nieza ~ luckily she didnt have one of me "de-touring" to the side of the road...haha!)

Our "tour guide" ~ this boy insisted that
I took his picture in this pose ~
mmmm showing off his skills? :-)))

@ Pasar Besar Siti Khatijah/Pasar Buluh Kubu (main market in d centre of Kota Baru)
~ our earlier tour :-)

n these shoe bags reminded us of Ayu, who couldn't make it at the last minute due to work commitment...

The local kids.

As they were quite shy, on d 1st evening there we just had small talks (trying the best we could to use the local dialect ~ mine a mixed of Kelantan's n Terengganu's ) and asked them to sing for us...

but by the 2nd day..they requested to have a singing competition!

...Rois registering the "contestants"...

...waiting 4 their turns...

...the row of winners with their prizes
~ chocolates bought at a nearby shop!

did other kids who were too shy to join regretted it?..hehe..:-)))

*****************

Too soon n it was time to say good bye...

Till d next trip...hope Chom (n others) can join as well...she had to miss this one b'cos of her prior plan to go to Ho Chi Minh...mmmm...I wonder if she did a lot of shopping? ... :-)

Special thanks to Ze, who fetched us at the airport, spent some times with us and sent us back...and also to "Baby", Che Yah and Wate'(who invited us for lunch of special Nasi Kerabu at her house...yummy!) ~ thank you so much..been great meeting u all.
