Today's greetings.

Didn't have a hectic weekend, mostly at home doing this and that.....but mostly resting to recover from my illness...

Didn't even go for the supposed to be weekly morning walk on either Saturday or Sunday,

or bowling...,

but I felt less guilty when I saw this "quote" in FB last night :

ha ha ha....

Have a great and cheerful Monday!

Any pickings to be done at the counter...haha..

Different kinds of strawberry I managed to "pick"...hehehe..

and of course not complete without this :

and the local strawberry ice cream

Mr Google Image - mine already finished..hahaha

Cameron Highlands...finally!

Somehow Cameron Highlands always "eluded" me before, every time family members or friends went there I would missed out the treat...mmmmm...

So when deciding where to go last weekend, I suggested the place..hehehe..

First stop - the tea plantation :

We walked all the way down to the "waterfall"..in the middle of the afternoon..no wonder I fell ill when we came back from the trip

Stayed for a while for refreshments but I didn't have tea...hehehe.

[Update on my trip to Kuantan (posting here) : sad to say that my auntie passed away a week after..may she rest in peace..amiin.. Al-Fatihah]

Laksa : my two versions

Felt like having "laksa Penang" (northern style rice noodle) yesterday but I'd yet to find one that really suit my palate nearby. So I decided to make it myself.

But whilst making it I was watching the food channel and it showed one chef making a different version of noodle gravy..,

oh my, and I craved to have both.......hahaha..

First I made the gravy for "Laksa Penang"..with its main ingredients "daun kesom" (laksa leaves), "bunga kantan" (ginger flower)..lots of "asam keping" (for sour taste) and little bit of "belacan" (shrimp paste)...and fish flakes of course. :-)

While the gravy was boiling..made another one with another half of the fish flakes. I didn't make the TV version as I felt like having my home state version, "Laksa kuah merah Terengganu".

But as I'd never done it before, I searched for the recipe on the net. This version used coconut milk and curry powder.

So "Laksa Penang" for lunch :

and "Laksa Terengganu" for dinner,

and the result was not bad if I may say so myself....not bad for my first attempt...hehehe...

Short trip to Kuantan

We started quite late in making the journey yesterday, and this photos were taken along the highway :

It was already dark when we entered the district of Kuantan.

The journey was made because at the office during mid-morning yesterday I received a call from my sister in K.T, telling me that our auntie in Kuantan was not well.

Took time to settle in arranging for the journey that only later in evening that we could leave. Called up my cousin for the update ~ he had already left for his mum's place the day before and he said that his mum was unconscious since Tuesday noon.

When we reached her house, my auntie didn't seem too good although according to her daughter she'd looked better after few bottles of drip.

Spent couple of hours there but by 9pm we had to make the move back to K.L as we estimated roughly 3 hours (but it took almost 4 or more hours before we reached home..traveling at night surely was challenging when we were very very tired)

Lots of love to my auntie and praying that she will get well soon.

Trip to a nursery..

Spent few hours at the nursery last week, but while the others were busy choosing flowers and plants..I was busy snapping photos, using my Samsung phone (not the S111 or note..hehe), until my handphone battery ran out :-D

Didn't buy any of the flower plants..but I wish I could grow this...

Been a while since I joined "Virtual Run" (VR), and with long MCO - Movement Control Order (and no interest from family members..h...
