Symbolism of orchids

The most highly coveted of ornamental plants, the delicate, exotic and graceful orchid represents love, luxury, beauty and strength.

During the Victorian era, orchid symbolism shifted to luxury, and today this sense of magnificence and artful splendor continues, with orchids representing rare and delicate beauty.

The 14th wedding anniversary flower, pink orchids convey pure affection, and the popular cattelya orchid represents mature charm.

The wide variety of form and color in orchids is truly amazing, but all are beautiful. You've done a great job of capturing these gorgeous flowers.

Oh My Heart... Love your orchid pictures... WOW!!!! We go to the Biltmore House and Gardens in Asheville, NC several times a year --and when we go into their indoor garden area (tropical plants), we get to see gorgeous orchids... Takes my breath away every time we go there... Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Betsy

Those are gorgeous. My uncle who was in the military before would bring us some rare orchids from his military trips. Too bad I now live in the city but back at home, I think my mom still has some orchids left.

Thanks for sharing those pictures!

cantik...orkid kena jaga dgn baik kalau tak tidak berbunga. Suka tgk orkid sbb cara penanaman dia unik menggunakan arang & sabut kelapa.
