And just because...

Been busy doing this and that over the weekend, indoor and outdoor....chores that needed immediate attention,



(p/s ~ I'm not industrious like that thou ..hehe)


..including additional electrical wiring ~ too much of electrical items in the house, esp. in the kitchen..hehe.


......


anyway, on Saturday we went to a supermarket nearby...and whilst at the veggie section, saw this fresh "daun kesum" and thought of 3 recipes/dishes that could be made from it: Assam Pedas, Laksa Penang or Bubur Lambuk [of Terengganu/my family's version.. :-)]







The Bubur Lambuk (rice porridge) won!

  1. Laksa Penang complete dengan daun kesom, pheh.. memang best. kena pula ikan yang digunakan masih fresh lagi. Tengok pada drawing rumah dua tingkat tu, memang kompem sibuk sangat tuu.

    laksa penang ~ cukup daun kesum, bunga kantan, asam, ikan etc2..memang bermangkuk2 lah makan dan berkali2 ulang..hehe..

    haha...kalau bertingkat2 tu sibuk kumpul habuk je..

    We just harvested daun kesum today. Mama's making singgang daging and said she's putting daun kesum in. yummmmm.....sambal belacan, bendi rebus, nasi panas....complete dinner. Nak sikit? purrr.....meow!

    its bubur nasi yang dimasak dengan santan kelapa, isi ikan and ubi keledek(yam), sayur2nya..macam2..

    i can give u my version of the recipe (as usual..hehe..)

    took me about 2 hours to cook 3 cups of rice that morning..

    and just b'cos of that daun kesum..
